Congratulations to Brian McAuliffe for being inducted into the NRLWA Hall of Fame at the WARL Past Players & Supporters Re-union Day

Brian McAuliffe receives his NRLWA Hall of Fame recognition from WARL Past Players President John Moore
Brian has been involved with Rugby League all his life and was originally with the Mt Pleasant Rugby League Club (for those that remember this club) where he was a star junior footballer, captaining both club, touring and WA State sides. Brian went on to be a major part of the Applecross RLC once Mt Pleasant and Applecross combined in 1961 and was a key player in Applecross’ run of 11 straight grand final appearances between 1962 – 1972.
Brian has been a club player, coach and committee member for many years, even starting the Melville Junior RLC as an feeder club for Applecross through his association as a teacher at Melville Primary School. Brian also coached State junior sides for many years.
Brian’s contribution to Rugby League in WA for over 5 decades make him a very worthy and popular inductee into the prestigious NRLWA Hall of Fame.
